I attended a seminar in Los Angeles last year and got to hear
renowned direct marketer Mitch Carson speak on creating direct mail campaigns
that REALLY work.
It was a great session and I came away with a lot of information.
He shared the results of campaigns such as sending sales contest
rules inside coconut shells (the winners got a trip to Hawaii), sending
boomerangs to old customers in an effort to "get them back" and
sending out bank money bags with a sales campaign inside. It's these out-of-
the-box (and out-of-the-envelope) ideas that grab people's attention.
